Rimas Entertainment, Home to Bad Bunny, Takes Significant Stake in Dale Play Records

Rimas Entertainment Acquires Stake in Dale Play Records

Rimas Entertainment, renowned as the Bad Bunny Latin music house, has acquired a “significant” share in Dale Play Records.

Founded in 2018 by Federico Lauria in Argentina, Dale Play releases music from SuperStar Producer and DJ Bizarrap, whose BZRP music sessions with various Latin artists have produced megahits.

According to the official announcement on Thursday (March 6), the transaction was “made possible thanks to support from Rob Stringer (Chairman of Sony Music Group), Afo Verde, and the entire Sony Music family, as well as Brad Navin, Jason Pascal, and the team at Rimas.”

The press release added: “Their cooperation played a crucial role in implementing this partnership, and their trust highlights the significance of this new chapter in the industry.”

Partnership Details and Future Plans

The agreement establishes a partnership between Rimas Entertainment, Dale Play Records, and Sony Music Entertainment, with Federico Lauria continuing as the general director of Dale Play Records.

In addition to Bad Bunny, Rimas Entertainment is home to several Latin music stars, including Arcangel, CRIS MJ, Eladio Carrion, Mora, and Quevedo. Dale Play Records also supports artists such as Duka, Nicky Nicole, and Raul B.

Following that, BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53, featuring Shakira, was streamed over 1 billion times on Spotify.

Dale Play is reported to have secured an exclusive partnership with Sony Music in 2020.

During the presentation for Sony Investors last May, Rob Stringer confirmed that Sony Music Group “invested in the Rimas label, the home of superstar Bad Bunny.”
