Appointment of Richard N. Baer
The satellite and online radio transmission Sirius XM Holdings has appointed Richard N. Baer as executive vice president, general lawyer, and secretary effective March 3, 2025. Baer succeeds Patrick Donnelli, who, as previously announced, has resigned.
Baer brings four decades of experience as a lawyer and business consultant, having most recently held the position of legal director at Airbnb, Inc., where he oversaw legal issues, community relations, and compliance functions.
Previous Experience
Prior to his tenure at Airbnb, Baer was the chief administrative officer and legal director at Liberty Media; executive vice president and legal director at UnitedHealth Group; and executive vice president, general counsel, and chief administrative officer at Qwest Communications International.
Additionally, Baer served as chair of the litigation department at the Denver law firm Sherman & Howard LLC and began his career as a prosecutor in Brooklyn, New York.

Public Engagement
Beyond his professional achievements, Baer has dedicated considerable time to public service, including serving as chair and longtime board member of National Jewish Health, a leading respiratory hospital in the country.
He has also held the position of chair of the Colorado Labor Development Council and has been a board member for various organizations, including the Colorado Legal Assistance Fund, the American Legal System Institute, the Duke University Law School Board of Advisors, the Daniels Fund Executive Council, and the Colorado Coalition for Inclusive Excellence.
Additionally, Baer has served as chair of the board of directors at CommerceHub.
