Kanye West’s Representative Addresses Divorce Rumors
Kanye West and Bianca do not have plans for a divorce, according to a statement from the rapper’s representative.
On Thursday (February 13), speculations started circulating that West and Tsenkori were heading toward a separation, shortly after their controversial appearance at the Grammy Awards earlier this month. This followed the rapper’s comments regarding “dominion” over her on X/Twitter last week.
Daily Mail and TMZ were the first to report on the alleged divorce, suggesting that the couple sought legal counsel for divorce proceedings. However, long-time representative Milo Yannopoulos denied the divorce rumors in a statement reported by Hollywood Reporter.
The Aftermath of Grammy Appearance
Yannopoulos stated: “You and Bianca are in Los Angeles, looking forward to enjoying Valentine’s Day together. Any announcements about their personal life will come directly from them, not from rumors in the tabloid press. I’ve lost track—this is the fifth or sixth time the press has incorrectly reported that you and Bianca are splitting up.”
Prior to the divorce reports, many expressed concern over Bianca’s well-being after her eye-catching red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards, where she wore a sheer dress that displayed her figure. It was suggested that the incident was a publicity stunt, reminiscent of the couple’s recreation of the album cover for “Vultures 1.”
After the Grammy incident, social media was abuzz with concerns over whether Bianca was okay and if she was under Kanye West’s influence. In a controversial rant on social media, Kanye claimed dominion over his wife, stating, “I have dominion over my wife. This is not about woke feminist ideals. She is with a billionaire—why should she listen to someone like you?”
His remarks only heightened the contradictions in his narrative as he faced backlash for past anti-Semitic comments while continuing to praise figures like Elon Musk. The situation escalated as Kanye made headlines for selling controversial merchandise, including a shirt featuring a swastika.
Following these events, Kanye’s social media accounts were deactivated, and Shopify shut down his Yeezy website. It was reported that the rapper’s talent agency also dropped him while his former chief of staff left the brand.
Although Kanye has reinstated his X-page, Shopify clarified that they removed his website due to potential fraud, not specifically because of the controversial merchandise. Various individuals, including employees and public figures, condemned his hateful rhetoric and called for an end to his dangerous messages.
Additionally, a lawsuit for discrimination was filed by a former Yeezy employee, alleging inappropriate text messages containing anti-Semitic sentiments.
