Ratbag Unveils New EP Inspired by the Complexities of Love and the Horror of Femininity

New EP Announcement

Staffs have unveiled a new EP titled “Kiss Under (Almost) Full Moon”, set to release on May 9 through the Records of Failures.

Exploration of Femininity

This collection consists of four tracks and follows a series of singles, delving into the themes of femininity from contrasting perspectives. The EP includes previously released tracks “See What You Are Doing With Me” and “Juliet & Juliet”, alongside new songs “Lost It” and “King of Kingston”.

Artist’s Reflection

“Last year, I began to feel the growing pain of transitioning into womanhood – shaping my identity and sexuality – and discovering love. While this is liberating, I also perceive the world around me becoming increasingly harsh. This EP is about both the love for femininity and its horrors,” explains Ratbag.

“I believe that being a woman is a blend of beauty, sensuality, and peril. Therefore, I aimed to create four tracks that not only explore these ideas but confront them head-on. The Rupture EP serves as a stark juxtaposition between the softness of femininity and the harsh realities that I am gradually navigating.”
