Details of the Festival
Earlier this week, the group led by Josh Homme was announced as headliners for the festival, which is set to take place on August 27 in the Don Valley Bowl.
Due to “phenomenal demand,” a second concert has been scheduled for August 28. Tickets for both days have already been sold, and you can buy here.
Previously announced acts include Viagra Boys, Fat Dog, The Bug Club, and So Good. They are now joined by Shame, Jenny Beth, Murder Capital, Big Freedia, and Demob Happy.
The festival director, Ali O’Reilly, stated: “The response to the first show by Queens of the Stone Age was incredible. Tickets sold out in record time, and we are thrilled to offer fans another chance to see this massive show.”
“It is a tremendous honor for me to bring one of the greatest rock bands of our generation to Sheffield for not just one, but two nights at Rock N Roll Circus. With support from Viagra Boys and Murder Capital, these shows are sure to be something special.”
Explaining the unique experience of the Rock N Roll Circus, she added: “There is nothing like it. This is more than a concert; it’s a complete, immersive experience that plunges fans into a world of electrifying energy and raw musical power.”
“Queens of the Stone Age will bring a colossal performance surrounded by the circus’s madness, and it will be amazing.”

The festival is one of two UK bookings for QOTSA in 2025, alongside their appearance at the Victorious Festival. This summer, the band will also embark on a European tour, featuring various festivals like Aya and Electric Castle.
In July of last year, QOTSA had to cancel several European dates due to frontman Homme needing an “emergency operation.” He returned to the stage in December for a tribute concert for Mark Lanegan in London.
The first show for Queens is currently set for June 10 in Boston, Massachusetts. They will also perform at Bonnaroo 2025 in Manchester, Tennessee within the same month.
The band released their eighth and latest studio album, “In Times New Roman,” in 2023. In a four-star review, NME remarked: “They conveyed an emotional exorcism for Homme, while catering to fans; it stands as their most somber yet contemporary material, and will be appreciated even more for it.”
Last summer, Homme promised to “roll up his sleeves” to ensure fans wouldn’t have to wait long for new material, following a six-year gap between “Villains” and “In Times New Roman.”
