Pyrotechnics Incident at Chicago Bulls Event
Pyrotechnics at a recent Disturbed concert resulted in damage to six Chicago Bulls banners in the NBA.
Details of the Damage
In a statement released on Friday (March 14), the United Center confirmed that the banners, which were commemorating the era of Michael Jordan in the 1990s, sustained “insignificant damage.”
The damage occurred during a speech on March 8 featuring the band Disturbed and Sevendust, with clips of flames near the banners circulating on social media.
“(The United Center is currently working with the Bulls to explore options for the repair of these banners,” noted a representative from the venue in the statement, as reported by Associated Press. “Although the banners will not be in place until the end of this season, we expect them to return next season.”

The Chicago rock band has yet to comment on this incident, and the Bulls Championship banners celebrating their titles from 1991-93 and 1996-98 will be absent until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Upcoming Tour and Collaborations
Meanwhile, the band has recently announced a new tour featuring 17 shows across Great Britain and Europe, set to begin at the end of this year. This tour commemorates the 25th anniversary of their cult debut album in 2025.
