Discovery of Zeppelin LED Footage
Previously, the unseen footage of the Zeppelin LED was unearthed after I sat in the box for 45 years. You can see this below.
Historic Concert Footage
The 13-minute video was filmed on an 8-mm camera during a performance by the legendary group in the center of Falconer, Copenhagen, Denmark, in July 1979. This event marked the second of two shows before their last British dates in Knebworth.
According to Loud Sound, the auxiliary footage was captured by fan Lennart Stream, who revealed the existence of the film last summer.
Since then, the video has been digitized by the American company Reel Reel Provisional Film and Color, a group associated with Pink Floyd research. It has also been synchronized with audio recordings from the concert in question.
In an interview with Led Zeppelin News, Stream explained: “We brought the Super 8 camera to test the new film equipment in the venue. There were no issues with bringing the camera; it was quite small, and I think I had it tucked in the back of my trousers. Filming wasn’t common back then, as people focused more on audio gear.”
He continued: “The concert the previous night was reportedly a disaster due to electrical failures caused by the lasers. Generators were set up in the alley we drove through. We didn’t understand their purpose at the time, but I remembered them from the army. Naturally, we were a bit worried about the concert.”

Stream further mentioned that he “kept this film stored away all these years,” adding: “(I) made a digital copy, not as good as the one you made, but I can’t find it now. I showed it to friends, guitarists, who went wild over it. It was a quieter version.”
The footage has been uploaded to the Ledzepfilm YouTube Channel as of yesterday (February 18), featuring segments from “Songs Remain the Same,” “Black Dog,” “No One’s to Blame But Mine,” “Above Hills and Far,” “Misty Mountain Hop,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” “No Quarter,” “Hot Dog,” “Rain Song,” “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and more.
Additionally, there is a clip showcasing Jimmy Page’s live guitar solo. Check out the full 13-minute video above.

The description states: “I am thrilled to release 13 minutes of Super 8 footage from one of the best Led Zeppelin shows after 1973 and their last performance in Denmark! It was a fantastic day when my friend Mark Donahu from Mark’s Heart Podcast found a comment by Lennart Stream, who mentioned he filmed this show. The rest is history!”
“Special thanks to Mark and Lennart for making this happen, as well as Quazza from the film ‘Renaissance of the Coil’ for excellent scanning and Nuff from @thepfrg for amazing color correction.”
He added: “If you have any discovered films, photographs, or audio recordings of Led Zeppelin, please contact me at Dogfdoomlibrations@gmail.com.”

The film Becoming Led Zeppelin is set to be released soon as the first official documentary about the group. This authorized project features additional unseen live clips of the band. Watch the trailer above.
In a four-star review, NME praised the documentary as “the ultimate origin story of the most explosive group from Great Britain,” stating: “For those who have never seen Led Zeppelin live, only early concert footage needs to be seen.”
Back in 2022, footage from a Led Zeppelin concert in 1970 was restored and shared online. This came shortly after a rare video from one of the group’s most iconic concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 1970 was resurfaced and made available online.
In recent news, Jimmy Page remarked that the response to Becoming Led Zeppelin is “thrilling and inspiring.”
Director Bernard MacMahon stated: “The IMAX cinematic experience combined with the authentic sound of the film creates a thrilling and immersive experience, allowing the audience to feel as though they are present with the group.”
