PinkPantheress has released a new single called “Tonight” with Bridgerton-inspired music video.

“Tonight” marks the latest music from the singer-songwriter since 2024’s “Turn It Up,” which was her only new material after her debut album of 2023, “Heaven Knows.”

In January last year, PinkPantheress announced that she was “soooo excited” to return with new music this year— and “Tonight” is the first release. “Today’s music video has been released, Honey💋💋 We went into full Bridgerton mode,” she wrote on Twitter today (April 4).

The music video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, features PinkPantheress dressed in elegant 19th-century attire at a lavish palace party. The night takes a surreal turn as a man exits a portrait, his DJ spinning records on gramophones, while a woman dramatically bursts into flames amidst idle guests.

“Tonight” leans towards a dance-pop sound with synthesizers, reminiscent of “Turn It Up” and “Heaven Knows,” moving away from the British garage style. Watch the music video below.

Hints of Future Projects

On New Year’s Eve, PinkPantheress shared two photos of herself working on her laptop, with music production software visible on the screen, hinting at new material following her brief hiatus.

“Oh, we are coming back just like that! #2025,” she wrote on Twitter: “I missed you (heart emoji), thanks for waiting for me (grateful emoji).”

In January, PinkPantheress collaborated on the single “True Religion” with Shygirl and ISabella Lovestory.

NME reviewed her London tour date for “capable” in 2024, awarding the show four stars and describing the concert as an “inexorable extravaganza,” serving as a “launchpad for showcasing her newfound confidence on stage.”

In July last year, she had to cancel all remaining dates to focus on her physical health and general well-being. This meant she would no longer perform at the Field Day 2024 or open for Coldplay on the Australian leg of their “Music of the Spheres World Tour.”

Additionally, PinkPantheress featured in “Snap My Finger” from Kaytranada’s third studio album, “Timeless,” and the viral hit “LE Sseafim, Crazy Remix” last year. She also had an uncredited role on the track “Pink Xoxo” from Camila Cabello’s latest album, “C, Xoxo.”

Upon its release, NME awarded “Heaven Knows” a four-star rating, stating: “Ultimately, what makes ‘Heaven Knows’ such a compelling debut is its ability to capture British sensibilities. The emotions and sounds are familiar enough to draw you in while also being unique enough to keep you engaged. Heaven Knows sets the stage for the boundaries of PinkPantheress’ talent yet to be discovered.”
