Pink Floyd Performs “One of the Days”

Pink Floyd shared a video featuring their performance of “One of the Days” from the upcoming Pompeii – mcmlxxii, a concert film set to be released worldwide at the end of this month.

Restoration and Release Details

The new restoration of the 1972 classic film, Pink Floyd in Pompeii McMlxxii, in 4K, utilizes original 35mm footage with audio recently mixed by Stephen Wilson. This film will debut in cinemas globally starting April 24, and tickets are already available—find yours here.

Now, a clip showcasing the cult performance of “One of the Days” has been released, offering viewers a crystal clear look at the historical performance of the band in the ruins of the ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy.

“One of These Days” is the first track from Pink Floyd’s 1971 album “Meddle,” written by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason. Watch the video below.

The original film was shot by Adrian Maben and captures the legendary group performing at the amphitheater in October 1971, with no audience present aside from the main film crew. It includes performances of iconic tracks such as “Echoes” and “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun.”

The release will also feature rare footage of the band working on “The Dark Side of the Moon” at Abbey Road Studios. This cinematic release will be accompanied by a live album set to be released by Legacy Recordings on May 2.

Drummer Nick Mason remarked, “Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii is a rare and unique document of the band performing live during the period leading up to ‘The Dark Side of the Moon.’”

In other Pink Floyd news, a judge recently ruled in the ongoing case between bassist Roger Waters and investigative journalist John Wer. The latter, who produced the documentary The Dark Side of Roger Waters, is suing Waters for slander after the musician referred to him as “a false, lighting the Zionist mouthpiece.”
