Recent Reports and Confirmations

Earlier this week, there were reports that the drummer raincoat Ringo Starra and a constant stick for rock icon since 1996 had been released as a result of a “collective solution” after a series of shows in the Royal Albert Hall for a teenage cancer fund.

Stark himself seemed to confirm the news on Wednesday (April 16), telling Katya Stone that he “was very proud of mine for about thirty years with WHO,” and that he “remains their largest fan.”

He added: “After I played these songs with the group for many decades, I am surprised and saddened who will have a problem with my performance that night, but what can you do?”

However, now the guitarist and songwriter Towned denied that Starkey was released by writing on Instagram: “News Flash! Who supports ZA!”

Clarification from Townshen

In a longer message on the group’s website published today (April 19), Townsndus additionally explained the situation, writing: “There were some communication problems, personal and private from all sides with which it was necessary to solve, and they gladly took the air.”

Referring to the four Royal Albert Hall shows in March, he added that he and frontman Roger Daltri informed Starky that they want him to “tighten his last developed drummer style to adapt our non-organized composition,” which, according to him, the drummer “easily agreed.”

“I am responsible for some confusion,” continued Townshend, saying that the group is “family” and that history “exploded very quickly” this week and “received too much oxygen.”

He noted that he felt that Stark “made several mistakes” during the show, for which he apologized. “It’s over. Now we are moving forward with optimism and fire in our stomachs.”

Townshen also regretted that the tourist drummer Dalrie Scott Bolrs was connected by some as a potential replacement for Stark. “I have to apologize for not crushing this rumor before it spread,” he said. “He was wounded by this. I promise to buy him a very long drink and hug him.”

Earlier this year, Starkey received a blood clot in his leg, causing his supergroup mantra of the cosmos – also including Shan Ryder and Happy Monday and Andy Bell, as well as Oasis – to cancel a secret concert in Soho. Now he said that he was “completely healed,” and the terrible health “does not affect my drumming.”
