Diabetes UK has stated: “Over time, increased blood sugar can damage the vessels supplying nerves in your legs, preventing nutrients from reaching them. This can lead to peripheral neuropathy and unnoticed injuries to your legs.”

They also cautioned that decreased blood supply to the legs may lead to ulcers and, if untreated, potentially result in amputation.

Changes in Lifestyle and Future Plans

In November 2023, Dortorti reflected on his struggles, stating: “I beat this, right? I damn it damn it.” He confessed his earlier addictions to heroin and cocaine and mentioned that he now battles with items like cheese, sausage, and sugar.

He emphasized that he has been advised by doctors to make significant lifestyle changes, warning him that without a proper diet, he would face severe health risks related to diabetes and cholesterol.

Speaking with NME around the same time, he expressed that he is now leading a more “pure” and “sober” life compared to his earlier years, claiming: “Yes, fortunately. It was simply not stable.”
