Paul McCartney Announces New Album for 2025: ‘Should We Expect a Teaser?’

McCartney’s New Year’s Resolution

Paul McCartney has disclosed that one of his New Year's resolutions for 2025 is to complete an album.

The former Beatles member, who just concluded his 2024 “Got Back” tour, shared questions and answers on his official website, addressing fan queries as the year came to a close. Discussions included his plans for the festive season and what he cherishes the most. One fan inquired whether McCartney had set any resolutions for 2025.

The artist responded: “Here’s one: finish the album! I was working on numerous songs, but had to set them aside due to the tour. I'm looking forward to returning to that and completing many of these tracks. So how about this? “My New Year’s resolution is to finish a new album!”

Exciting Performances and Collaborations

“How about a teaser?”

His most recent solo album was the 2020 release “McCartney III,” which served as a long-awaited sequel to 1970's “McCartney I” and 1980's “McCartney II.”

Although McCartney has no additional shows planned for 2025, he concluded his final London performance on December 19 with the remarks: “See you next time.”

He also brought out fellow Beatles member Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones. During his set, McCartney spoke about his old bass guitar, stolen over 50 years ago, which was finally returned to him in early February this year.

While showcasing it on stage, he remarked that it was the bass’s first appearance since its disappearance: “I haven't played it in 50 years.”

He then prepared another surprise: “And what's more, we have a special guest for you. Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood.” As Wood joined him on stage, both began performing “Get Back.”

During the encore, McCartney mentioned to the audience amidst roaring applause: “We have another surprise for you. Bring to the stage the mighty, one and only Mr. Ringo Starr.”

McCartney quipped as Starr continued, “Should we rock? Put on your kit, la.” They then dove into two classic Beatles hits: “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club (Reprise)” and “Helter Skelter”.
