Parklife’s Sacha Lord Retires as Manchester’s Nightlife Consultant and Ordered to Repay £400,000 Government Loan

The resignation of Sacha Lord

The Parklife Sacha Lord boss resigned from his position as an advisor to the nightlife in Manchester, and he was ordered to repay the government £400,000.

The Lord – the former Boss of the Parklife and Warehouse Project – left his role as the nighttime economy advisor in Greater Manchester last night (January 28), having been appointed by Mayor Andy Burnham in 2018.

Controversial grant findings

According to Manchester Evening News, following his resignation, the Arts Council sought to reclaim £401,928 from a Covid Grant awarded to the primary events company owned by the Lord. Their decision came after a review coincided with the Lord’s announcement of his departure from the role.
