Panic Shack Announces Debut Album
Panic Shack has officially announced their debut album, titled Set for Selepret, set to release on July 18 via Brace Your Shy Records.
New Single Release
The Cardiff-based outfit has also unveiled a new single entitled ‘Girl Band Starter Pack’. This release comes alongside details of how it was inspired by the sounds recorded in the beer garden at an Amyl & The Sniffers concert, before diving into their signature punk sound.
“Girl Band Starter Pack” derives its name from our Spotify playlist created at the inception of the group,” Panic Shack explains. “Its journey has seen many transformations, yet it has remained with us throughout. This is incredibly special to us—not only because we’ve witnessed its evolution into a certified banger (once considered ‘Banger’s potential’), but because it embodies our friendship and the energy we share when creating, hanging out, or simply grabbing coffee, which often leads to more ideas for songs.”
The visually striking music video features Welsh Drag Queens Jolin Dover, Lasagne Sheets, Cici, and Bop Fig. “We aimed to create a video that truly captures the essence of the song, and who better to portray us than a group of brash, fabulous, and loud Welsh drag performers?!” the band shares. “All hail Jolin Dover, Bop Fig, Tsitsi, and Lazan!”
