Birmingham overpass has shared a fresh single titled 'As You Wish' from their upcoming EP “Dependent”.
Upcoming EP Details
The anticipated EP is set to release on February 28 via Communion Records and delves into themes of growing up and self-discovery. The band describes the song 'Take It Or Leave It' as exploring the notion of 'You either want it or you don't,' emphasizing the importance of acceptance: “It’s like, ‘Accept me for who I am,’ because you can’t change who you are, even if you hate being that way.”
Insights from the Band
The members of Overpass share their thoughts on the EP, stating: “Dependent is about the journey of growing up and navigating life’s complexities. It captures the process of finding one’s place in the world through deep, introspective moments, highlighting both the struggles and growth associated with young adulthood. Our second EP marks a progression in our sound and approach, having recorded multiple tracks in a single session and experimenting more than ever. This new writing and recording method has allowed us to refine our music and understand our identity as a band in 2024, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
