Festival director Tom Payne stated: “There’s nothing we love more than returning to Ashton Court to really kick off the festival season, and 2025 is shaping up to be quite an exciting year.”
“We’re excited to bring some of the biggest names in the electronic music scene, as well as some of the brightest local talent, to town for the holidays. Join us for a great party, see your favorite DJs, discover new favorites, and celebrate the start of summer with us.”
Overmono released their debut album, Good Lies, in 2023. In a four-star review, NME mentioned: “Overmono described their debut album as “a love letter to the journey (it also) marks where we want to go,” and “Good Lies” puts the pair on the brink of their big break. Its pop moments are among the most exciting, and the creativity with which they connect these worlds is breathtaking.”
Meanwhile, Nia Archives released her debut album “Silence Is Loud” last year, with NME naming it the fourth best album of the year. “It’s one thing to revive jungle music for a new generation; it’s another thing to do the same with the vulnerability that Nia Archives possesses. When the party ends, Nia continues to share her stories of isolation, grief, and anxiety through “Silence Is Loud,”” NME noted.
With addictive breakbeats, Nia demonstrates a keen ear for anthemic hooks and stunning songwriting. Who hasn’t been captivated by the piercing siren sound of “Silence is Loud” or sung along to the irresistibly catchy “Crowded Rooms”? The fusion of Britpop and jungle is brilliantly executed – a beautifully crafted debut.
