Global Licensing Agreement With Mercury Studios

The Netherlands-headquartered concert streaming service has established a global licensing agreement with Universal Music Group’s Mercury Studios.

This deal will enable the streaming of Mercury Studios’ collection of live concert videos, featuring archival content from renowned artists such as Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Katy Perry, Madonna, Hans Zimmer, Etta James, Fall Out Boy, Bob Marley, and more.

They will be added to the On Air catalog, which already features streams from Zara Larsson, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, All Time Low, and many others.

Live Streaming Availability and Pricing

The first Mercury Studios shows are currently available for live streaming. Prices start from £8.99 for performances (US$11.40 at current exchange rates) and include unlimited repeats.

The Mercury Studios catalog boasts over 2000 hours of performances, including works from the legendary Eagle Rock production company.

Recent projects by Mercury include Oscar and BAFTA nominations for American Symphony, produced by Obama’s Higher Ground Productions and Netflix; If These Walls Could Sing for Disney+; My Life Is Like a Rolling Stone for BBC and MGM+; Shania Twain: Not Just Any Girl for Netflix; and This City, a six-part series for the BBC created and produced by Steven Knight.

Support and Expansion in Live Streaming

In 2022, Apple launched a series of live concerts featuring Harry Styles, while China’s Tencent Music Entertainment hosted a live broadcast featuring the Backstreet Boys, which attracted 45 million viewers.

The first-ever live-streamed concert on TikTok in December 2023 showcased Cardi B, Niall Horan, Anitta, Charlie Puth, Compensate, and Peso Pluma, among others, drawing 33.5 million unique visitors.
