Olivia Dean’s New Visual Release

Olivia Dean has unveiled a captivating living visual for her track “this is not perfect, but it can be,” filmed at Rak Studios in North London. This song is not only the leading single but also the final title of the soundtrack for the upcoming film “Bridget Jones: Madly About the Boy.”

About The Film and Performance

Directed by Jake Erland, the performance features Dean alongside her band, set against a historical backdrop. “I have always loved the Bridget Jones films; they are timeless classics,” Dean shares. “After seeing how the story is transformed over the years, we watch Bridget’s journey through many ups and downs. ‘This is not perfect, but it can be’ is about giving yourself the permission to love again after experiencing loss and believing that, in the end, everything can fall into place, even if it’s not as you imagined. This is my first experience being part of something like this, and I can’t wait for it to be released!”

The film tracks Bridget’s life as a widow and single mother, set four years after the death of Mark Darcy during a humanitarian mission in Sudan. It will also feature the award-nominated track “Dive” from its album “Messy.”
