Oasis Fans React to Rock Hall Snub
Oasis fans reacted to the Glory Hall of Rock -N -Roll group.
Latest Induction Updates
The Rock Hall today (April 28) took to social media after the latest episode of American Idol, where this year’s nominees were revealed, including White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, OutKast, and Soundgarden.
This year’s ceremony also features a packed lineup, including Thom Bell, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, Salt-N-Pepa, Lenny Waronker, and Warren Zevon.
Oasis was among the artists included in a long list but ultimately did not make the cut, marking the second time they have been overlooked for induction. They join Mariah Carey, Fish, Billy Idol, “Black Crowes,” and “Joy Division/New Order” in this year’s snub.
Fan Reactions and Perspectives
Now Britpop fans have reacted to the snub, with some suggesting that the band may be more celebrated in the UK than in the USA, where the Rock Hall is based. “Is the Hall of Glory Rock -N -Roll an American thing? Oasis would, of course, be less known,” one user wrote, while another added, “Typical, isn’t it? OutKast is good, but Oasis practically invented Britpop—I’m tired of this.”
Several fans also remarked that the band likely doesn’t care about this omission, with one stating, “I think Noel is much more concerned that the United man was honest.” Check out more reactions below.

Typical, isn’t it? OutKast is good, but Oasis practically invented Britpop—I’m tired of this trick.

Oasis does not need awards. They are already legends in their own right.
The band has never been so self-sounding with such a mediocre result.

By the way, the Hall of Glory Rock -N -Roll is only for people to complain about who was excluded. Literally no one knows and cares about who got in. Oasis might already be their for all we know.

Despite being snubbed for the second time, it appears that Oasis doesn’t mind too much, as frontman Liam Gallagher responded to news regarding the snub this year by stating: “The RNR glory is for wankers” in a post on X/Twitter. One fan replied to his tweet inquiring, “What would you do if you won?” to which the hitmaker of “Wonderwall” responded: “Contact and say that this is the best.”
Liam reiterated comments he made after the first nomination in 2024, stating: “Fuck the Glory Hall of Rock -N -Roll; it’s full of bumblers,” advising fans who planned to vote to not “waste their time,” adding that “as much as he appreciates it, this is all a lot of nonsense.”
Another user at that time asked the artist about his reward “The God-Like Genius” from 2018, to which L.G. replied: “I mean that you cannot place me in such categories.”
A few weeks after his comments, Liam appeared to shift his stance on the Rock Hall of Fame. Speaking to The Sunday Times, the singer mentioned: “As much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I’m saying: do me a favor, dare.”
“This is the same as putting me in the RAP Hall of Fame, and I don’t want to be part of something so mentally degrading. Besides, I’ve done more for rock -N -Roll than half of those clowns on this board, so it’s all rude.”

In other Oasis news, the Gallagher brothers were seen together filming in a London pub earlier this week, reportedly causing complaints about noise from local residents.
Noel and Liam gathered in a pub to shoot footage for an advertising campaign for the upcoming OASIS tour, according to Sun, with a source telling the tabloid: “Noel and Liam are still shaking hands, but they drove one of the neighbors crazy with noise. They took Mildmay to shoot the promo video for the tour, and the din was huge.”
Noel confirmed during an appearance on TalkSport the following Friday (April 25) that he had seen Liam on Thursday, saying: “He’s fantastic. I was actually with him yesterday. He’s fine, he’s in great form. He can’t wait, he cannot wait for us.”
Reports stated that the brothers were filming at the Workers’ Men Club in Newington Green, London, on Thursday (April 24), and it was reported that it was a session for the upcoming ADIDAS campaign.

Oasis currently has 41 tour dates scheduled for 2025, spanning several continents and running until November, with support from Richard Ashcroft, Cage The Elephant, and Ball Park Music.
Last month, sources close to the group informed NME that the tour lineup includes Noel, Liam, bassist Andy Bell, guitarists Gem Archer and Paul Arthurs, and drummer Joei Voronk.
The original drummer, Tony McCarroll, will not be participating in the reunion tour and recently shared a message with the band and their fans, writing: “The circle begins again, folks. A new generation is ready to start listening. Honestly, I’m a bit envious of this empty hill.”
“Everyone in the world is excited to see this, or so people say. Time “feels,” I can’t wait to see how it all leaves,” he added. “Liam, Noel, bone, gem… (I should stop here, as I’m not sure who else) good luck with everything, and don’t forget to stop and enjoy it! If the drummer loves a Supersonic partner in Broughton Park, give us some noise ;)”
The frontrunner from Stereo, Kelly Jones, also recently told NME that Noel is back in the studio writing new material. “I assume he’s writing for his own stuff or if they (Oasis) are putting together a couple of songs; I don’t know,” he said.
