Nia Archives Launches Call Up Ya Archives
Nia Archives launched its own Call Up Ya Archives label and released its first track. ”Free yourself' from the cheetah.
New Track Combines Genres
The producer of Jungle and DJ won in their debut album “Silence Is Loud”, receiving British and Mercury nominations.
The new track combines SOCA and Jungle elements, as well as vocals and production work from both artists. This pays tribute to SoundSystem and Carnival Culture and encourages listeners to release all their energy on a vibrant night.
Nia Archives discovered the music of the cheetah on Bandcamp and has continued to support it ever since. Speaking of the song, Chepard said: “The track came together quite naturally. This is essentially an ode to sound and party culture. The essence is being completely immersed in the music, with your head in the setup and the feeling of bass rattling your ribs.
“The concept is straightforward but immensely energetic, the lyrics are literally instructions. We drew significant inspiration from SOCA, allowing high-energy vocals to dominate the track.”

In March, Nia Archives spoke with NME about the recent revival of Jungle music, mentioning that she is working on a “happier” new album. While on the red carpet for the 2025 Brit Awards, she discussed how BRUM N 'Bass and Jungle have seen a substantial increase in popularity over the last three years.
“Jungle and Drum N 'Bass have always existed in the underground and have historically shared cross-over melodies, so it’s refreshing to see young people getting into this music,” she said. “I believe that these cross-genre melodies have brought people into this underground world of music.”
At the British 2025 awards, Nia was nominated for Best Dance Act alongside Becky Hill, Chase and Status, and Fred again…, although the award ultimately went to Charlie XCX.

Nia Archives was featured in NME The big reading in 2022, where she spoke about winning Best Producer at The Bandlab NME Awards 2022, her musical influences, and her desire to creatively lead and turn her ideas into reality.
“I am involved in everything because the more I do, the more I become,” she explained. “Without stunning art, video, music, production, and lyrics, I don’t think it will work. I truly enjoy channeling my ideas into something tangible.”
She also discussed the influence of her two heroes, Brazilian stars DJ Patife and DJ Marky. “These were the original Samba-Jungle pioneers,” she said. “Creating such music felt natural to me. It gives me a feeling that I can’t quite describe—I love how I feel when I listen to it.”
