NewJeans Previews Upcoming Track ‘Pitstop’ at ComplexCon and Announces Temporary Hiatus

Announcement in New Jania

In New Jania, it was announced that all events would be halted following a recent court ruling, which was disclosed during a speech in a complex located in Hong Kong.

Latest Performance and New Track

The K-POP group, recently renamed NJZ, took the stage at a festival on March 23, marking their first show since their independent rebranding earlier in February. During their performance, the group introduced a new track titled “Pitstop,” which they had teased on their social media platforms in the weeks leading up to the event.

This announcement follows a court order obtained by Ador, which prohibits the New Dajans from participating in independent events without explicit approval from their previous label. The ruling restricts the group from working under its own terms.

“We have made the decision to pause all activities in accordance with the court ruling. This was not an easy choice, but it is necessary,” the group stated at Complexcon.

Minji elaborated: “We knew this journey would be challenging from the outset. We will continue to voice our opinions while respecting the court’s decision and the ongoing process. We have no regrets.”

Hayin added, “Some may think it would have been better for us to remain with Ador, but we had to prioritize our protection. We believe that we will return stronger and have no regrets about our choice.”

Minja also addressed the fans directly, saying: “Please do not see this as an ending—we will return, and when we do, we want to greet you with bright, smiling faces again. We understand that this may be disappointing and frustrating for our fans, but this is how we are safeguarding ourselves so we can come back even stronger.”
