New Order Launches “Blue Monday” T-Shirt to Support Mental Health Charity CALM.

New Order has introduced a new charity T-shirt in partnership with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), celebrating three consecutive years of collaboration with the mental health organization.

Details of the Limited Edition T-Shirt

The exclusive T-shirt showcases the original synthesizer used to compose the song “Blue Monday”, along with lyrics from the 1983 hit: “It’s so hard for me to say what I need to say.” This release coincides with Blue Monday, recognized as the third Monday in January and often regarded as the most challenging day of the year for mental health awareness.

A Message of Impact

New Order shares, “Initiating a discussion with someone can become the most significant dialogue of an individual’s life. It has the potential to transform lives.” They further elaborate, “As CALM, we believe the lyrics and message featured on the 2025 CALM Blue Monday T-shirts are perfect. Knowing that proceeds will assist CALM in supporting even more individuals in need enhances its significance.”

This initiative continues the band’s previous engagement with CALM, including their involvement in a suicide prevention video for World Mental Health Day in October 2023. In 2022, band members Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris engaged with parliament to discuss mental health and suicide prevention, aligning with the 42nd anniversary of Ian Curtis’s passing.

The T-shirts are priced at £29.99, with £10 from each sale going directly to CALM.
