New Album “Welcome to My Blue Sky” Set to Release in April

Mother announces new album

Mother revealed their upcoming album “Welcome to My Blue Sky”, set to release on April 4, 2025, through Lucky Number / Polyvinyl.

New single and video released

The Brooklyn-based group has shared a new single, “I Want You (Fever),” accompanied by a video directed by Jaxon Whittington. This track follows their previous release, “Ohio All the Time,” which came out at the end of last year.

“I Want You (Fever)” is about yearning for someone who is already in a relationship or someone from the past,” the group describes. “It conveys a sense of drowning in desire, yet it’s uplifting to know that this person wants to be with you. When we wrote this song, we felt we were stepping into a new era. We set aside everything we had composed for the album up to that point, as this felt so vibrant and exhilarating.”

“Welcome to My Blue Sky,” which follows the 2022 album “Household,” was recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn and produced by bassist Aron Kobayashi Rich.

The band, which includes Etta Friedman, Allegi Weinarten, and Preston Fulks, has announced a U.S. tour alongside performances at Outbreak Festival and Primavera Sound.
