Neil Young’s Upcoming Tour Plans

Neil Young teases a full tour of the UK, Europe, and North America for 2025. Find all the details below.

Having accepted to his official Neil Young Archive website on Tuesday (February 18), the legendary singer-songwriter shared a post titled “Assign us in the summer of democracy,” referring to an advertisement released the previous day, February 24.

“Music is united! We will be there with you! Join us all when we celebrate the summer of democracy,” Young wrote. “Old songs and new songs. Old words and new words. Long jams! We will own this summer.”

He continued, “Chrome Hearts and I are ready for you! Love and democracy rule in the USA and the world.”

According to Far Out Magazine, Young mentioned in a since-deleted post that he would confirm dates for the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe.

Return to Glastonbury

At the beginning of last month, Young was announced as the first headliner for Glastonbury 2025 after initially withdrawing from the festival due to a “corporate shutdown.” The Canadian songwriting icon stated, “We were told that Bi-Bi-x is now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things that we were not interested in.”

However, shortly afterward, Young retracted these comments, admitting that the “mistake” was due to misinformation. “Fortunately, the festival is back on our route, and we are looking forward to the show! I hope to see you there!” he wrote.

The musician first headlined Glastonbury in 2009 alongside Bruce Springsteen and Blur.

Speaking about his upcoming return to the iconic festival, organizer Emily Eavis said, “What a beginning to the year! Neil Young is an artist who is very close to our hearts at Glastonbury.”

“He does things in his own way, and that’s why we love him. We cannot wait to welcome him here to prepare the Pyramid Stage in June.”

New Music and Future Projects

Young recently released his first song with his band The Chrome Hearts, titled “Big Change.” He has also provided an update on his upcoming debut album with the group, expressing hopes of releasing it in April before the summer tour.

“Now we’re finishing the vinyl, compact discs, and digital copies,” he wrote. “I’m very happy and relieved to have done this in a short amount of time. The album’s artwork has been completed and sent by Jenis Heo. Now I am working on the lyrics, hoping to handwrite the words and enter them over time…”

Young added, “The songs feel fresh, and I’m very glad that everything is ready for you. It won’t be long until we have new songs to play on the road this summer in Europe, the USA, and Canada. We are really looking forward to this!”

He wrote on his website last November that the proposed European tour dates for Chrome Hearts were being “considered.”

In other news, Young released his album “Lost” and “Oceanside CountrySide” from the 70s and shared his praise for the “great” new biographical film about Bob Dylan, Full Unknown.
