My Chemical Romance Announces Deluxe Edition
My Chemical Romance is set to release a luxurious edition of their second album 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge' on June 6, marking 21 years since its original release.
What’s Included in the Expanded Version
This expanded edition features a remastered album produced by Grammy award-winner Rich Kostya, along with a remix and four bonus tracks recorded for BBC Radio 1’s “The Lock Up” in 2005. The additional tracks include previously unreleased live versions of “I am not okay (I promise)”, “Elena”, and “The Ghost of You”. Additionally, there’s a live recording of “You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison.”
Release Formats and Artwork
The Deluxe Edition will be available on CD, various colored vinyl options, and digital formats. The vinyl release features a unique tripartite format, with the fourth side containing etching. It will also include new artwork, along with a film shot of the musical video for “I’m Not Okay (I Promise).”
The original album has sold over 7 million copies worldwide and includes hit singles such as “Helena,” “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” “The Ghost of You,” “Thank You for the Venom,” and “You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison.” It achieved Platinum certification within a year of its release and has since reached triple Platinum status.
This announcement coincides with the upcoming North American stadium tour “Long Live: The Black Parade,” which is already sold out.
