New Vancouver Office Announcement
The electronic commerce company based in the UK, Music Glue, has announced the opening of a new office in Vancouver, British Columbia, aimed at assisting North American artists in selling directly to consumers in the often intricate European markets.
The Vancouver office will be led by Music Glue’s chief product manager, Tom Maguire.
Focus on North American Market
Maguire, who has been with the company since 2007, stated that he will concentrate on addressing the increasing demand for the company’s e-commerce services in North America. American music companies are seeking partners that can assist them in establishing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) commercial operations in Europe, according to a Music Glue statement made on April 1.
The new office aims to resolve the challenges faced by North American artists looking to engage in D2C sales within Europe, including navigating GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) rules, GPSR (General Product Safety Regulations), and tax-related issues.
Mark Megarri, Founder and CEO of Music Glue, commented, “In recent years, changes to EU rules combined with Brexit complications have made direct consumer sales in Europe increasingly complex.”
He added, “The recent threat of an international trade war has intensified these challenges, making it feel almost impossible for many North American artists and their D2C teams in Europe. Enter Music Glue. We have worked tirelessly to remove these regulatory and technical obstacles so that you don’t have to deal with tariffs!”
Megari further emphasized, “We understand this is a tiring process, and a misstep can result in costly fines and complications for your fans. Our North American partners have learned that Music Glue is ‘European ready,’ making it essential for us to establish a presence in Vancouver to address questions and issues in real time.”

The new Vancouver office will complement Music Glue’s expanding list of international centers, which also includes New York and Sydney.
Music Glue provides artists, labels, merchandisers, and venues with platforms to sell music, merchandise, tickets, and experiences to fans via integrated, customizable websites. The company offers services such as data and trade management, multilingual sales, and the ability to sell across different devices.
Furthermore, Music Glue enables sales in the currencies of North American sellers, including US or Canadian dollars. It also integrates with various warehouses across the EU and the UK, along with on-demand printing services to minimize the risk of inventory accumulation. The company can also establish relations with independent trading firms.
Music Glue asserts that it has established a solid reputation as a partner for music companies operating in the U.S., contributing to the online stores of artists such as Enter Shikari, James Blunt, and Pig Pig Pig Pig Pig, all of whom have American suppliers.
