Health Update on Dave King
Having helped Molly, the renewal regarding the health of frontman Dave King has been shared, indicating that he has slipped into a two-week coma due to a brain hemorrhage, as the group has detailed below.
At the beginning of last month (February 6), the Celtic Punk outfit announced the cancellation of all plans for 2025, stating that King “is fighting a very serious health condition.” Now, King’s wife and group member Molly Bridget Rigan has provided further information about his status.
Recovery Journey
In a lengthy post, Rigan began on a lighter note, mentioning that they were “safe outside the forest” before confirming that King “suffered a brain hemorrhage and underwent two successive operations to save his life.”
As a result of the hemorrhage, Dave King “spent two weeks in a coma, followed by various phases of treatment and recovery.”
However, Rigan later shared some positive news: “Now he enters the next stage of his recovery and is eager to play music again.”
She concluded the post with an emotional message, expressing gratitude towards their doctors, nurses, hospital staff, family, and friends: “Please take care of each other and tell your loved ones that you love them… Life can change in an instant.”

The seventh and final studio album, ‘Molly Anthem’, was released in 2022. This record was produced by the late Steve Albini, who had worked with the band earlier in their career.
