Mogwai to Host Major Open-Air Concert in London with Lankum in Summer 2025

Event Details

The new show was officially announced today (March 21) and will feature both bands taking the stage as part of the London festival set to take place in 2025.

Scheduled for August, the concert will occur at Crystal Palace Park, where both groups will perform on August 7 for a double set. This performance will mark Mogwai’s only summer show in the UK for this year and Lankum’s sole London appearance in 2025.

For Mogwai, this concert comes shortly after the release of their 11th studio album, “The Bad Fire”, which was previously highlighted by the single “Fanzine Made from the Flesh.” The record is considered a continuation of their 2021 release “As Love Continues” and includes singles “God Returns You” and “Leo Rumpus.”

The southern concert will take place after they complete their scheduled tour dates in North America during April and May.

For Lankum, this concert comes after they gained a fresh wave of listeners following their Mercury Award nomination in 2023 for their album “False Lankum”. Recently, they had a standout performance at the Act 1.5 environmental show in Bristol last year.

They will join a roster of previously announced artists set to perform in the south in 2025. So far, the lineup includes Neil Rogers and Chic, the JAXX basement, Skepta’s Big Smoke, and the FlackStock festival.
