MJ Lenderman’s Departure from Live Up
MJ Lenderman announced his exit from Live Up on Wednesday, confirming that he will still play a role in the registered results of the group.
Details of His Departure
The Eshville, North Carolina musician, who joined the group in 2020 after an invitation from vocalist Carly Harzman, performed his final live show with them in Japan earlier this year. The news was disclosed in a new profile for GQ.
A new member named Jake has joined the live lineup, although no further information about this latest addition has been provided.
Lenderman’s involvement began after Harzman transitioned the project from its solo roots in 2017. The two musicians were previously in a romantic relationship that has since ended.
Recent Releases and Future Plans
This announcement comes after a successful period for both artists. On Wednesday, he released his album “Rat Sawing God,” while Lenderman has been active with his solo career, having released “boat songs” in 2022 and “Manning FireWorks” in 2024. He continues to tour with his band, The Wind.
