Miley Cyrus Releases Powerful and Emotional New Single “More to Lose”

New Music Release

Miley Cyrus shared a new single called “More to Lose” – you can listen to it below.

Upcoming Album Details

The vulnerable and delicate ballad serves as the final preliminary viewing of the pop star’s ninth album “Something Beautiful,” which arrives on May 30 in Colombia. This follows her recent songs “Prelude” and “End of the World,” as well as the title track.

After debuting “More to Lose” last week, Cyrus released a studio version along with black and white official music videos.

The clip was directed by Sayirus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter – part of the accompanying “visual” version of the film of its upcoming recording.

I stay when the ecstasy goes far/ and I pray so that it is again/ and you say it/ but I would like it not to be true/ I knew that you ever had to choose/ I just thought that we have more to lose,” Cyrus sings in the reflective chorus.

She continues to express that her “Tears are broadcast like our favorite show tonight” when she fights with a broken heart, adding: “Memories disappear like jeans/ I try to pursue when you run to my mind.”

Speaking about the single, Cyrus explained: “In a song like ‘More to Lose,’ I try to keep it the only one. I add my harmony or advertising lists at the end, but this is really a song that is more likely a story, and I never want it to be interrupted, stunning, or pursuing perfection.

“I never wanted ‘More to Lose’ to feel perfect – I wanted it to sound significant and emotionally resonant.”

Recently, while performing the ballad, the singer addressed the audience: “I have many people whom I’ve known and loved for a very long time in this room. Even a couple of exes.” During the first verse, she remarked: “It’s like an instant classic.”

Cyrus is considered an executive producer on “Something Beautiful” alongside Shono Everett (Casey Musgraves, Alabama Shakes). Earlier, she suggested that the bold album would be inspired by Pink Floyd’s “The Wall.”

“We really leaned into it. And so I have this first attachment to it. My idea was in the ‘Wall,’ but with the best wardrobe and more glamorous elements filled with pop culture,” said Cyrus.

In a four-star review of its preliminary viewing “Endless Summer Vacation,” NME wrote: “All this adds up to an album that holds your full attention, even if it is not the most daring or far-sighted from Cyrus.”
