Miley Cyrus has unveiled her explosive new single “Something Beautiful” from her upcoming album, sharing the excitement with fans.

The song begins with a slow R&B vibe, featuring Cyrus singing: “Tell me something beautiful, yes, tonight / until your lips become blue,” before transitioning into an electrifying chorus: “Boy, I clamp, yes, yes / boy, you will identify my necklace / Boy, I clamp my breath / I undress, I admit that I am so obsessed, yes,” which shifts from a softer rhythm to a more grandiose rock soundscape.

Directed by Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, the music video showcases Cyrus in a large, fluffy black coat as she enters a dark room to deliver the performance. As she sheds the coat to reveal a black dress with cutouts, the lighting intensifies, creating a visually stunning scene as sparks rain down from the ceiling during the fiery chorus.

Regarding the music video, Cyrus’ official account on X/Twitter shared: “The second song and video from Miley’s ‘Something Beautiful’, the title track of her upcoming album, explores a deep connection with fashion, featuring original designs by CASEY CADWALLADER for the Mugler home.”

“Something Beautiful” marks the second track released today (March 31) from her upcoming album of the same name, following the earlier release of a dramatic “Prelude.”

The singer-songwriter’s highly anticipated entry is set to launch on May 30 through Columbia Records, and Cyrus will serve as an executive producer on the LP alongside Shone Everett (known for work with Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes).

Following the “Endless Summer Holidays” project in 2023, a visual film directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter will also be released in theaters in June.

“Something Beautiful” has been described as “a one-of-a-kind pop-opera from the mind of Miley Cyrus.” The official description states: “A unique visual experience blending fantasy, featuring 13 original songs from the upcoming album.”
