As it is has unveiled their latest single 'Sorry x', featuring Mikail Delgado from Sincerely. This release comes ahead of their upcoming album “Never happy when you are after X.”
A Fresh Take on Their Debut Album
This new track is part of a complete reimagining of their debut album, which includes guest performances throughout. The original version of “Sorry” was the first song penned for “Never happy when you are after” back in early 2014.
Collaboration and Reflection
“Sorry” was the initial track created for “Never happy when -Liba after” in early 2014. We even performed it live multiple times before recording and releasing it the following year. “Sorry” could have easily fit into the early stages of our EP, and it influenced the way we crafted the rest of the recording. Although it wasn’t designated as a single, it held a special place among fans and became a standout moment in our live shows. Now, with the exceptional Mikail Delgado joining in, this track shines even brighter. After a day in the studio with Mick, witnessing her unparalleled vocals and harmonies was a burst of inspiration. We are tremendously proud to share another piece of the puzzle from the Nheax era.”
Reflecting on the album project, the band shares, “We never anticipated how the celebration of reaching ten years would unfold. What started as a simple idea to re-record a few singles quickly evolved into a vastly ambitious project. We are thrilled that a diverse array of guests participated in this celebration—from artists who directly influenced the record to friends and collaborators. This album encapsulates special moments that bring us full circle, including our YouTube cover of ’41 before BrownSound laid down his solo on the track, alongside long-standing collaborations like that with Kellin Quinn, which Patty covered in 2011. This record encapsulates the 2015 scene while honoring the bands that shaped us, as well as newer acts that are propelling us into the future. We cannot wait for listeners to experience this new rendition of “Never happy,” solidifying connections with so many friends and heroes, something that would have felt inconceivable to us as kids who wrote this record a decade ago. This may turn out to be one of the most significant albums we’ve ever created.”
