Mick Jagger shared a tribute to his former partner, Marianne Faithfull, following the news of her passing at the age of 78.
Earlier today (January 30), representatives of the iconic singer and actress announced that she “peacefully died in London, in the company of her loving family. She will be very much missed.”
The Relationship and Its Impact
Faithfull and Jagger were in a relationship from 1966 to 1970, which garnered significant public interest during that era. She was often referred to as the “muse” of the “Rolling Stones” and is believed to have inspired some of their most renowned songs, including “Wild Horses” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
Jagger posted a nostalgic image of the two of them from their younger days on his Instagram, expressing his sadness over Faithfull’s death by writing: “I am so sad to hear about the passing of Marianne Faithfull.”
