Mia Foyik Unveils New Single “Felicity” Ahead of Her Upcoming Third Album

New Single Release

Mia Flik has unveiled a new single, 'Felicity'. This serves as the final preview of her upcoming third album “Erotica Veronica”, set to be released on February 28 through Nettwerk.

Unique Sound and Meaning

'Felicity' distinguishes itself from the other tracks on the album, being the sole song not crafted on an acoustic guitar. The composition was developed in collaboration with Jared Solomon, intertwining layered synthesizers and wooden winds with traditional instruments.

The title of the song signifies the concept of Felicity as a “search for suitable expression for your thoughts”, which Flick emphasizes as crucial to the album. “This is the cornerstone of the album: to articulate feelings that I previously avoided because I didn’t recognize that these feelings were permissible,” she explains.

“Erotica Veronica” delves into themes of desire and identity, with Flik commenting: “The album addresses the experience of feeling out of place within the confines of heteronormative relationships and society at large, while also celebrating desire and eroticism as a whole. I believe we often fail to provide each other with adequate space to freely explore and discover our own authentic paths.”

The self-produced album features contributions from Sam K.S. as co-producer and drummer, alongside musicians Meg Duffy, Waylon Rector, Greg Ulmann, and Pat Kelly.
