Megan Thee Stallion, Future, and Tyla Collaborate to Celebrate Blackpink’s Lisa’s Debut Album

Lisa announces debut album

Lisa Blackpink revealed that her upcoming album “Alter Ego” will feature collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion and Future.

The Thai K-Pop sensation is set to release the album on Friday (February 28), marking her first full-length solo project since she and the rest of Blackpink chose not to extend their contracts with YG Entertainment.

On Friday (February 21), Lisa announced the complete tracklist for the album, which includes “Rapunzel” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, “Fxck Up the World” with Future, and “When I’m with You” featuring Tyla.

These tracks join previously released singles such as “Rockstar,” “New Woman” featuring Rosalía, “Lunar Paul,” and “Born Over” with Ray and Doja Cat.

“New Woman” has been recognized by NME as one of the 25 best K-Pop songs of 2024. “From the charismatic performance of Rosalía to the playful lightness of the opening chorus, ‘New Woman’ easily becomes one of the most captivating tracks of the year,” writes NME‘s Mika Chen.

Lisa will also debut a comic series alongside the album. In collaboration with Zero Zero Entertainment, she will publish a 56-page graphic novel titled Alter Ego: Official Comics.

Authored by Lisa and illustrated by Mortar, the comic will explore the five alter egos represented by Lisa for “Alter Ego”: Viksi, Roxy, Kiki, Sunny, and Speepi, through comic storytelling. It is set to be released on March 24.

In addition, the singer will make her acting debut in the new third season of HBO’s White Lotus. She recently expressed her anxiety regarding the transition, stating, “This is my first acting experience, so I’m unsure what to expect on set. However, everyone has been supportive. I’m so nervous—I was sweating; I was saying, ‘I can’t remember my lines!’”

She will appear in the show under her real name, Lalisa Manobal, as a wellness mentor at the titular resort hotel in Thailand.
