Matt Maltese’s New Album Announcement
Matt Maltese has announced the release of his sixth studio album, 'Her', set to launch on May 16 through The Garden.
New Single and Music Video
The London artist has also unveiled a new single, “Always a little MF”, which is the second track to be released from the album. The new single will be available shortly, accompanied by a music video directed by Prasan Puvanaraja, featuring actor Nadia Parks and choreographer/actor Ira Mandela Silohan.
Reflections on Love
“I’ve written a lot of music that stems from a place of passion, but this record is drawn from the depths of longer-term love. It reflects on the complications and beautiful journeys we face, as well as the heartaches that come with it. It’s like taking a year to write an important email,” says Maltese.
“I’m British enough to feel a bit of shame writing so much about love from my past,” he adds. “Perhaps a more intriguing idea would be to travel across the globe and create a conceptual album about prehistoric creatures or something along those lines. But ultimately, we are all human, and love affects us all. As a songwriter, my job is to unearth elements from my life, and this is what I’ve experienced.”
This upcoming album follows Maltese’s 2023 release, “Riving Just to Drive”, as well as his covers collection, “Songs That Are Not Mine.”
