Mamalarki Unveils New Album “Hex Key” and Reveals Single Host

Mamalarky has announced their new album “Hex Key” and also shared a new single titled “#1 Best of World Time.”

Their Unique Sound and Recording Journey

Tri-Coastal Indie Rock, as noted by Epitaph Records, was recorded in their home studio in Los Angeles, resulting in a full-length quartet album.

“Through numerous UNO games, I’ve discovered that I am quite competitive. In a way, the sensation of losing has become motivating for me. It feels like I’m always competing with myself, striving to improve my last effort. For instance, while being the best of all time might be unattainable, you can always aim to be the best for all time—no one can contest that,” Bennett reflects on the new single.

Commitment to Musical Variety

The album follows their 2022 release “Pocket Fantasy,” during which the group adopted a more focused approach to songwriting. “Never raise your legs, let’s see what happens,” Bennett adds. “We always look deeply into each other’s eyes, saying: ‘Let’s do it next, let’s take it to the extreme.’ We never fully agree.”

The band emphasizes their dedication to variety in sound across the record. “The worst that you can say about a Mamalarky song is that it sounds like another one,” Khan remarks.

“Hex Key” comprises thirteen tracks, including previously released singles “Nothing Lasts Forever” and “Feels So Wrong.” The complete tracklist is as follows:
