Maccabi’s European Tour Announcement
Maccabi has revealed their first European tour nine years after their recent reformation.
Tour Details and Significance
The band will embark on performances across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France in June of this year, marking their first shows in these regions since 2016. This summer, the tour comes on the heels of their confirmed appearance at the East East London festival.
Guitarist Felix White expressed: “None of us imagined that returning to play a show in Europe again would be such a magical experience for us. We hope this entire tour embodies something truly precious.”
The seeds for the Maccabees’ return were sown during guitarist Hugo White’s wedding in February 2020, where the group played “Pelican” for the first time since their farewell at Alexandra Palace. The event featured performances from various artists, including Adele, Florence + The Machine, and Jamie T, making it a significant moment for the band’s reunion.
Maccabees, comprised of Orlando Weeks, Felix and Hugo White, Rupert Jarvis, and Sam Doyle, released four studio albums during their initial run, including their debut “Color It In” and their chart-topping “Marks to Prove It.”
