Maccabees Announce UK and Ireland Shows
Maccabees have revealed a series of concerts in the UK and Ireland, scheduled ahead of their headline performance at All Points East in 2025. Get all the details below.
Upcoming Concerts and Performances
Last October, the band announced their return to the stage with their first concert in eight years, taking place on August 24 in Victoria, East London. This performance will mark the 10th anniversary of their fourth and final album, “Tags to Prove It.”
Since that announcement, the band has shared details about a European tour in June and confirmed their slot at the Glastonbury Festival in 2025.
Now, Maccabees have added three shows in the UK and Ireland to their 2025 tour before their performance at All Points East.
They will perform at the Academy in Dublin on August 17, then head to the iconic Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on August 20, followed by the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on August 21.
Tickets for all three concerts will go on general sale at 9 am this Friday (April 11) – You can purchase yours here. Alternatively, fans can access pre-sale starting on Wednesday (April 9) by registering here.
In a recent statement, guitarist Felix White expressed, “We cannot wait to be Maccabees again! These shows will be truly magical as we play songs that are such a big part of our collective lives in the UK and Ireland, right before All Points East Festival.
“We really didn’t think this would happen again, and it truly feels special that it is happening. We hope to see you there.”
Maccabees Tour Dates 2025 in the UK and Ireland:
AUGUST
17 – Academy, Dublin
20 – Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow
21 – O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
24 – All Points East, London
The lineup for the upcoming All Points East performance includes acts such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Cribs, Dry Cleaning, Murder Capital, Divorce, and Prima Queen.
During a recent rehearsal before their major reunion, the band invited NME into their practice space, where White mentioned that “it felt like no time had passed” since they last performed in 2017.
“It’s so strange. When you think of the time that has passed since the last show, you could imagine Maccabees as another existence, but as soon as we started playing, it felt like we had never stopped,” he shared.
Alongside discussions of their reunion, the band addressed speculation about new music, with White revealing to NME: “The plan is to get through All Points East and see how much we love it.” Drummer Sam Doyle humorously added, “We might end up hating each other by August.”
Frontman Orlando Weeks explained, “The connection we gathered together is so strong because people are immensely tied to the group. Although we have been able to cultivate relationships outside of this, being in the band offers a completely different level of comfort which is the reason why we spend time together.”
“It’s a form of communication that doesn’t exist outside of this dynamic… It feels unique.”
