Exciting Warm-Ups in Dublin and Manchester
Maccabi has announced additional warm-up shows in Dublin and Manchester preceding their All Points East performance in August this year.
New Dates and High Demand
These dates mark the band’s first shows in the UK and Ireland, as they have added extra performances in response to high demand. The newly announced shows will take place at the Dublin Academy and Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse.
Guitarist Felix White expresses excitement, stating, “We cannot wait to become McCaves again! These shows will be truly magical, playing songs that are such a big part of our collective lives in the UK and Ireland, right before the All Points East Festival. We genuinely didn’t think we’d reunite again, and we are determined to make this special.”
The roots of the reunion trace back to guitarist Hugo White’s wedding in February 2020, during which the band performed “Pelican” along with guest appearances from artists like Adele, Florence + Machine, and Jamie T. This event marked their first performance since their final show at Alexandra Palace.
The Maccabees, consisting of Orlando Weeks, Felix and Hugo White, Rupert Jarvis, and Sam Doyle, released four studio albums during their original run, including their debut “Color It In” and their first number one “Marks to Prove It.” Their accolades feature a nomination for the Mercury Prize for “Given to the Wild,” an Ivor Novello Award for Best Modern Song for “Pelican,” and recognition as Best British Group by NME in 2016.
Tickets for all shows will be available from 9 AM BST on April 11.
