M (h) aol unveils their latest single 'I miss my dog' just ahead of the release of their sophomore album “Something Soft,” which is set to drop on May 16 via Merge Records.
About the New Track and Album
The upcoming track from the Dublin, Belfast, and London-based group comes with a homemade video showcasing candid clips of fans’ pets as a heartfelt tribute to both current and past animal companions.
According to drummer Constance Kin, “I miss my dog” is deeply personal: “This song reflects my experience with my dog Poppy, who passed away last July. There are moments when I wake up thinking she’s still with us. The loss of a dog is an experience shared by many, and this song is for those of us who feel this way.”
The new album was recorded at Dublin’s Ailfionn Studio with Jamie Highland, who previously collaborated on their debut album “Styles Attachment” and EP “Gender Research.”
