Dacus concluded her Brooklyn performance with two more tracks from her album “Home Video” – “Go Gone Gone” and “Night Shift.”
Earlier this month, the singer released the third single – “Best Assumption” from “Forever Is a Feeling.” The track has been described as “Dacus’s unique take on love,” embodying an anthem of fragile tenderness that reflects the mix of excitement and uncertainty when two individuals dare to connect.
“Forever Is a Feeling” features contributions from Khozier, Blake Mills, Bartis Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch, and Melin Duters. Dacus’s Boygenius bandmates Fibi Briders and Julien Baker also make appearances.
In a previous statement regarding her LP, Dacus expressed: “I was overwhelmed with emotions. Falling in love, loving. To create something beautiful, sometimes you must destroy the old.”
“You can’t truly capture forever. But I believe we experience forever in moments. I’m not sure how much time I’ve spent forever, but I know I’ve been there.”
Dacus also announced a series of UK and European shows this summer, including a performance at the A2 Academy Brixton on June 26 and a slot at the Glastonbury Festival in 2025. The artist is currently scheduled to perform at Forware Farm, either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
