In the Livestream, Lizzo shared insights into her latest work, stating: “I want to introduce you, guys, to the latest content from the new era. I have been diligently working on new music for the past two years. I took my time and did it the right way.” She further emphasized: “The new era begins today. I’m really coming for it.”
This announcement comes as Lizzo reflects on her previous era, associated with the Special album. On Instagram, she expressed: “This marks the conclusion of a special era. This album was my heartfelt return to the world after the challenges of 2020 and 2021. I aimed to help people find solace in music, to feel that everything would be alright. I wanted to remind individuals that while they may feel broken, they are still perfect in their own way. Twelve songs, sixty-eight shows, fourteen countries, three continents, and nearly a million fans later, we celebrated our uniqueness together. I am proud of the accolades, the Grammy wins, and the Platinum certifications… but most of all, I cherish this legacy. Tears and high vibrations! I thank God every day for this opportunity, and I do not take it lightly.”
The artist marked the end of the “special” era with the release of “BYE Bick” from the album in a dedicated social media post.
