Live Odyssey London Teams Up with John Lennon’s Family for an Exciting New Adventure

Exciting Collaboration Announced

London “Live Odyssey” has announced an intriguing partnership with the family of John Lennon.

Unique Musical Journey

Taking place on May 22 in Camden, “Live Odyssey” has been described as “The holiday of the rich tapestry of British music, offering a unique experience for music lovers of all ages,” featuring “an innovative tribute to the sounds that shaped Britain.”

This attraction combines a show, a museum exhibition, and a live experience, guiding visitors through six decades of music in a two and a half-hour adventure that showcases the evolution of British music—from the early hymns of the 60s and 70s to the Britpop explosion of the 90s and beyond.

Julia Bair, Lennon’s sister, will present a multi-faceted immersive exhibition dedicated to the late Beatle at its opening. This exposition will “detail the formative years that propelled Lennon to stratospheric glory with The Beatles.”

“This is a brutally honest account from the sister of the Beatles legend, Julia, who shares the unconventional childhood they experienced, memories of their mother, the bonds of family, and various aspects of John Lennon,” the press release noted.

“Julia will highlight the struggle between two powerful women—John’s mother and his aunt Mimi—as they fought for custody over him. She candidly reflects on the grief and the joy within their fractured family life, along with the tragic loss of their mother in a car accident, and the painful legacy it left, particularly for John.”

Immersive Musical Experience

Visitors to the exhibition will navigate through six distinct rooms, each immersing them in a different musical era while recreating the sights, sounds, and cultural moments that define each decade. Attendees can freely move between the living rooms and adjoining bars, allowing for a fun and dynamic experience.

The list of acts that will be featured includes previously opened performances by The Libertines, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Sex Pistols, David Bowie, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, K. Flay, and Stormzy.

In a previous discussion with NME, “The Libertines” Karl Barat remarked: “This is something incredibly special. Performing in Camden for this project feels like completing a full circle. Knowing that this will live on as part of the ‘Live Odyssey’ is truly exciting, honoring the music that has shaped us and our fans.”

“This performance in Camden was a full circle moment for us, from squatters to holograms, and from rays of light to industry evolution. It feels surreal to be a part of the ‘Live Odyssey,’ as it pays tribute to the people and music that influenced us and the place that made it possible.”

“Live Odyssey” will also support The Music Venue Trust, with a portion of ticket sales donated to their initiative to maintain vibrant live music spaces. Exclusive merchandise sales will directly support British venues as well.
