Lil Nas X Hospitalized Due to Sudden Facial Paralysis

Lil Nas X Faces Health Challenge

Lil Nas X revealed that he is experiencing sudden partial paralysis in his face.

Rapper Shares His Experience

Today (April 15), the rapper known for “Old Town Road” shared a video on social media of himself in a hospital gown lying in a hospital bed. In the video, he tries to laugh but demonstrates that he has “lost control” of the right side of his face.

He shows that while he can still partially move the right side of his lips and his right eye, the muscles on that side of his face appear motionless.

“That’s how to hell. I can’t even laugh right, brother. What the hell! Oh, God. So … my God, bro. So … yes,” he added in the video.

In separate videos posted to his Instagram stories, he maintains a lighthearted mood while joking about his condition. In one clip, he pans across his face, stating, “We are normal here; we are retreating here!”

In another story, Lil Nas X reassured his fans that he is “ok” and asked them to “stop being sad” for him, adding, “Shake ur’s for me instead!” In a third post, he remarked, “IMMA look funny, but that’s all.”

Community Support and Speculations

Lil Nas X has yet to disclose the cause of his partial paralysis, but fans are speculating about the possibility of Ramsay Hunt syndrome or other conditions that could result in temporary hearing loss along with paralysis.

Other artists who have faced similar issues include Justin Bieber, who announced in 2022 that he was suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. He has since made a full recovery.

Lil Nas X released his EP “Dreamboy Days” on March 28 through Columbia Records, following a campaign that launched at the end of 2024 with the single “Light Again,” followed by “Needy Boy” in November and “HotBox” last month.

“Dreamboy Days” serves as a prelude to his highly anticipated album, which has yet to receive a release date but is expected to be available later this year.
