Accompanied by the tagline “Streets still need me,” the trailer features Durk’s producers in the studio, collaborating on music while on a phone call with the imprisoned rapper. In November, Durk maintained his innocence against charges, asserting that he had no involvement in the murder for hire linked to the deadly shooting of rapper Georgia Kwando at a gas station in Los Angeles two years ago.

He was transferred to the Federal Correctional Center in Los Angeles and is currently awaiting an October trial. The rapper was initially arrested in Florida in October and held in the Broward County Jail, as reported by USA Today.

The arrest came just hours after authorities in Los Angeles charged five others with a federal murder charge for their alleged involvement in a plot against rapper Kwando Rondo (Taikian Bowman), which is believed to be a retaliation for the killing of Chicago rapper King Von in 2020.

The five individuals involved – Kavon London ‘Vonnie’ Grant, Deandre Dontrell ‘DEDE’ Wilson, Keith ‘Flacka’ Jones, David Briana ‘Boinis’ Boogie Houston – are all allegedly linked to OTF, which was founded in Chicago in 2010.

According to his indictment, Durk was described as the “leader” of OTF, involved in both music production and alleged violent acts, including murder and assault, primarily under his “direction,” as stated in the indictment (per Katya Stone).

If convicted, Durk faces life in federal prison.
