Liam Gallagher Claims Oasis ‘Could Make an Album’ If We Tour Together and Treat Each Other Well

Gallagher’s Hints About New Album

Liam Gallagher has once again indicated that a new Oasis album could potentially be released, contingent on whether he and Noel can be “kind to each other”.

Album Speculations and Fan Reactions

Since the Britpop legends announced their highly anticipated return to the stage earlier this year, Liam has regularly hinted at the possibility of a new album.

In September, when a fan inquired, “Is it true that Oasis will have a new album???”, Liam responded, “Yes, it's already finished.” He also clarified a fan’s query about whether a new record was “in the air,” stating, “It's already in the bag, man, fuck the air.”

Later in November, he told fans on Twitter/X that he was “amazed” by the material Noel wrote for the record. His comment from April resurfaced after the comeback announcement, where he suggested that Oasis would record a new album in November.

However, he quickly backtracked, telling fans in November that “there's no Oasis album coming” and that he was “kidding as hell.”

Yet, it appears an album may still be in the works. Liam replied to a Twitter/X post earlier today (December 19), which suggested the band might “do what the Stone Roses did in 2012”, alluding to a record release soon followed by a hiatus, remarking: “For your information, cocker, no one promised you an album.”

He continued, “I believe we'll do a good job with this tour and be good for another one, maybe an album; that's what real bands do. Let's just take it one step at a time; I think you'll agree this was the most wise move.”

Liam previously expressed his desire for the tour to be a “success” and for fans to “fly home like a kite.”

Regarding his feelings about the upcoming shows, the singer shared: “Damn zen, I'm gonna start revving the engines, MAYBE, I can't wait, I just want to get on stage and tear it up to the raz.”

He even addressed a fan who quoted Noel’s words about “no consequences” or “fighting” during the reunion, stating: “The war is over.”

While Liam is recognized for his relaxed demeanor on Twitter/X, and his tweets are often seen as informal, he has a penchant for dropping hints about news before it becomes public. He previously teased the band’s reunion and the confirmation of their UK and Ireland tour dates for 2025.

Fans remain optimistic given Liam’s history of tweets proving true, including a nod to a photoshoot he did with Noel prior to the return announcement and a suggestion that the band would play several major shows in Manchester before anything is officially confirmed.

More recently, he also hinted that both Richard Ashcroft and Cast could potentially support Oasis, both of whom have now been confirmed.

The tour is set to feature a series of massive stadium shows across the UK and Ireland in the upcoming summer, followed closely by performances in North America, South America, Australia, South Korea, and Japan.

After the reunion announcement, Oasis ruled out appearing at Glastonbury 2025 and any other festivals next summer. Liam and Noel also dismissed rumors regarding a return to Knebworth in 2026.
