Rumors of a London Reunion

Recently, various tabloids reported conflicting stories claiming that the two brothers met at a hotel in central London on Tuesday (February 25), just ahead of their massive Oasis reunion set to kick off this summer.

The reports indicated that they were seen at the Nobu Hotel near Hyde Park, along with Liam’s sons, Lennon (25 years old) and Gene (23 years old), spending about an hour in a private room together. They also mentioned that Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs joined them before they departed separately.

An anonymous source later informed Sun that the brothers were in “much better conditions.”

However, Liam has now dismissed all such reports, informing his followers on social media that the meeting never occurred.

“Is it true that you spoke one hour with Noel at a hotel in London the other day?” one fan asked him earlier this morning (February 28). The singer responded flatly: “Fake news.”

He addressed two more followers with similar inquiries, reiterating that the tabloid claims were unfounded.

In a sarcastic response to another fan, he quipped, “I did it, it was fine that we chatted and hugged perfectly.”

A source has also refuted these claims in a separate statement to Independent, stating that Noel was not present, and that it was just Liam, his sons, and his partner Debbie Guiter.

This isn’t the first time Liam has denied rumors surrounding the upcoming Oasis reunion.

Earlier this month, the Britpop icon dismissed tabloid reports that he intended to purchase a “strange mansion” in the Cotswolds with money earned from the tour.

He even addressed fans questioning the duration of the upcoming shows, humorously stating it would be “exactly 59 minutes and 59 seconds.”

The reunion begins in July and includes performances at Hilton Manchester Park, Wembley London Stadium, Cardiff’s stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, before heading abroad.

Last year, shortly after news of the upcoming return emerged, Sun reported details about a photoshoot where Liam and Noel were spotted together in 2024.

“The shoot was a big secret, and very few knew about it,” he stated. “For their fans to see them together again will be an incredible sight. The atmosphere in the room was electric.”

Around the same time, a source reported to Mirror that the promotional photoshoot for Oasis’ 2024 reunion was not staged with two images: “I know it looks like they might have been photoshopped, but they were both there, and they met.”

They added that Liam and Noel “laughed and joked” on set, stating: “It was wonderful to see after all these years.”

Currently, little is known about which musicians will join Liam and Noel for the large concerts, although the singer has shared hints about setlists and expressed hope for new material.

Earlier this year, he expressed admiration for the Sex Pistols, despite Glen Matlock describing Oasis as “boring.” He also reacted after thousands of tickets for the Oasis reunion were cancelled by TicketMaster, criticizing the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” nomination, stating it was “for wankers.”
