Lana Del Rey Unveils “Bluebird,” the Second Single from Her Untitled New Album

Lana Del Rey’s New Single

Lana Del Rey has released “Bluebird,” which is thought to be the second single from her upcoming album.

The Collaboration and Sound

The acoustic ballad was co-written with country musician Luke Laird and produced by Drew Erickson. Del Rey mournfully croons:

“Grase both for us / for you have wings, and I have no means to fly / small bird, blue bird / Find some strength in my hand / Everything that allows you to sing farewell.”

The “Western Coast” singer has confirmed that the new 13-track album will be influenced by her connections in the country music scene, as mentioned in a post thanking regular collaborators Jack Antonoff, Laird, and Erickson for their “excellent work” on the LP.

Her upcoming 10th album was announced last year under the title “The Right Person Will Remain,” which was previously referred to as “Lasso.” The continuation of her 2023 work, “Do You Know That There Is a Tunnel Under the Ocean Boulevard,” was set for release on May 21; however, Del Rey has since warned fans that the new album would not “come on time” and would feature a new title.

“I mean, you know that this will not come on time, right?” the Grammy nominee commented in an Instagram post. “Like, did I even tell you that the name has changed again?”

“Bluebird” follows the ethereal release of “Henry, Henry,” the first preview of the new album, which Del Rey suggests will primarily feature a country sound, complemented by explorations in various other genres. The complete tracklist has yet to be revealed.

“Henry, Come” also marks her first solo release in two years and follows her collaboration last July with Quavo on “Hard.”

The singer spoke with NME about the album in May last year, hinting that the lyrics on this LP might be simpler than her previous works.

“Perhaps I am less to say from the point of view of self-development things, such as ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Blue Bannans’ or ‘Chemical Cups Above the Suburban Club,’ and simply more melodic,” she said. “Maybe it’s more aligned with the American style of songcraft?”

Del Rey previously indicated that the project was expected to drop in October last year but later shifted to a prolonged anticipation, stating that she was following her instincts after experiencing a “literal energy pause.”

Additionally, this summer, the “Cherry” artist is set to embark on a stadium tour across the UK and Ireland, supporting “The Right Person Will Remain.” By the end of 2024, Del Rey became the best-selling solo artist of 2025, following the successful ticket sales for the stadium tour.

After announcing large concerts in Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, and London, high demand resulted in a second show in the British capital.
