Lady Gaga Announces New Album
Lady Gaga has revealed her much-anticipated seventh studio album titled “Mayhem.”

Album Release Information
Today, January 27, Gaga announced that “Mayhem” will be released on March 7 and is available for pre-order here. The announcement follows the appearance of promotional billboards featuring the album title and release date in major cities like New York and Las Vegas.
Featuring 14 tracks, “Mayhem” is produced by Gaga along with Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt, and includes contributions from producers such as Cirkut and Gesaffelstein. According to a press release, “Mayhem” is expected to reinvent “The Early Sound GAGA,” presented through a kaleidoscopic lens that reinvigorates her vast body of work and embraces a fresh, bold artistic vision.
Gaga shared her thoughts about the album, stating, “The album began as I confronted my fear of returning to the pop music that my earliest fans cherished.” She further described the creative process as “Reassembling a broken mirror: even if you can’t perfectly piece together the fragments, you can create something beautiful and whole in a new way.”
Gaga plans to debut the third single from the album along with its music video on February 2 during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Previous Works and Future Performances
Gaga’s last album, aside from the Joker 2 soundtrack and its companion album “Harlequin,” was the 2021 “Love for Sale,” a collaboration with her late friend Tony Bennett. Her previous solo LP was 2020’s “Chromatica,” which NME reviewed with four stars, highlighting it as a pure pop album with memorable choruses and polished production that goes deeper than surface appeal.
Gaga explained about “Chromatica”: “It is about healing and resilience. Music has always been my source of comfort throughout my life, and this album reiterates that. It is a celebration of hope, filled with uplifting melodies.”
